What's this event all about?
The Rockout is a
day long outdoor music festival in the Oxford Uptown Park, running
from noon- 9 p.m., followed by an after party at a local bar. The
event benefits the Oxford Family Resource Center, a charity that
provides a variety of services for struggling Butler County
families, ranging from food and help with bills to educational
services. A variety of local and regional acts are performing, and
the festivities will include a food stand, a raffle for prizes
donated by local businesses, and a cornhole tournament. This
sponsorship opportunity is more than just an outdoor music festival
– it is a drive to bring the community together in support of a
worthy charity. Leading up to the event, the brothers of Beta
Theta Pi will man tables throughout campus, where they will collect
canned food and donations, recruit volunteers for the F.R.C., sell raffle
tickets and “Rock Out” compilation cd’s, and promote the event and
our sponsors.
