Unselfish Productions tapped for tunes at Popular Oakley After Hours
The Oakley
After Hours event committee has contracted
Unselfish Productions to book
and coordinate
entertainment for their popular event again this year. Formerly
known as Oakley Final Fridays, The Oakley event has been a
tremendous success, and looks to be even bigger this year.
"Having been a
major part of the inaugural event and knowing the community was a
sure key to Unselfish Productions winning the bid. They knew we
could get the job done," said Co Owner and Oakley Resident Dan
Marshall. "We’re very happy to continue with such a great event
that is still really just getting going. It's great to be in on the
ground floor," said Marshall.
The
event features extended shopping hours and specials from businesses
in the Oakley Community, with bands and entertainers stationed
throughout the Madison corridor. For the kick off in April,
Unselfish Production’s co-owners personally provided the
entertainment. Dan Marshall gigs frequently in the area as his
alter-ego LoopMan Dan, while Dave Rothfuss is the lead guitarist for
2 Night Stand.
Known as
“Final Fridays” last year, the event attracted a wide range of
participants, from families exploring kid friendly shops like the
Blue Manatee bookstore and shoppers drawn to the small,
boutique-style shops along Oakley’s design district, to young
professionals looking to start the weekend with happy-hour specials
at Habits Café and Kona Bistro.
Oakley After
Hours are currently scheduled for May 25, June 29, July 27, August
31 and September 28. In addition to on-street and local parking
lots, over-flow parking will be available at Crossroads Church
Annexß, 3500 Madison Road. Performers include The Myths, The
Infinity Ball, Ann Driscoll, Jason Waggoner, Rick Street, Moonshine
Drive, 40 East, Loop Man Dan, 2 Night Stand, Erin McCamley, The
Stray Dogs, and more. For a complete band line up, visit

Productions would like to thank our platinum sponsors, Sky Line
Chili, Courtesy Chevrolet, the 20th Century
Theater/Habits Cafe and the law offices of Barron , Peck, Bennie and
Schlemmer, as well as all our other sponsors for making this event
possible.
